Brief Bio: Norman Miller was born and raised
in Grayling, Michigan near the banks of the Ausable River. He
grew an early interest in the outdoors and history while traveling
with his family throughout the U.S and Canada exploring new places.
He is a 1985 graduate of Lake Superior State University in Sault
Ste. Marie, Michigan and currently lives in Livingston, Montana
along the famed Yellowstone River. He is the owner of a window
cleaning business as well as an eco-tour guide in Zion and Bryce
National Parks of Utah. He enjoys skiing, backpacking, canoeing,
and exploring the west.

Lewis
and Clark observed many plant and animal species that were unknown
to the people of the east prior to the expedition. Many of these
plants however were known by the Native Indian Tribes of the area
for thousands of years and were often used in medicine, food, trade
and rituals. As this page unfolds, various plant and animals will
be displayed here along with the original journal entry's by Lewis
and Clark that mention their discoveries and observations for modern
science. Note that all spelling errors by Lewis and Clark are kept
